Becoming active at any age adds years to your life, and not to mention, improved quality of life. Starting physical activity can greatly decrease the risk of getting a serious disease, or help you manage your condition if you already have one.
Research has shown that being physically active moderately for a minimum of 30 minutes a day on most days of the week is all you need to improve your health. This includes basic activities such as brisk walking, doing house chores, using the stairs. Even better, you can divide those 30mins into activities of 10 minutes each. The aim is to reach 150mins of moderate to vigorous physical activity per week. However, the more physically active you are, the better your health.
