The Story of D4HL
Doctors for Healthy Living (D4HL) is a Not-For-Profit Social Enterprise that is committed to fostering a healthier Kenya through its Know Your Numbers (KYN) campaign, which is designed to empower individuals to take charge of their health.
The KYN campaign highlights five critical health metrics – blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, waist circumference, and BMI. By understanding and managing these numbers, individuals can significantly reduce their risk of chronic diseases and lead healthier lives.
At D4HL, we believe that prevention and awareness are key to lasting health outcomes. Through collaborations with healthcare professionals, organizations, and communities, D4HL brings knowledge and resources to help Kenyans make informed health choices.
In June 2018, D4HL launched a health awareness campaign referred to as Know Your Numbers (KYN). KYN was a free medical camp during which members of the public had vital numbers relating to blood pressure, blood glucose, blood cholesterol, waist circumference and body mass index measured. Specialist doctors volunteered their time to be on ground to provide advice to those who will be found to require further follow up.
